About Us

Richard Brown joined St. James's Place in 2011 following nearly two decades in financial services and advice roles. This was after several years of monitoring until the offering felt appropriate and met the requirements for his existing clients, many of whom are still with our business today.

Following a period of natural growth, in 2019, Josh Evans joined Richard's business in a support role before joining the St. James's Place Financial Adviser Academy in 2020 and moving into an advisory role. This aligned with an initial expansion of the business through the purchase of another financial advice Practice, based just south of Bristol. Our support team grew and Josh became a shareholder and board member in the Spring of 2025, at which point the business changed to B E Wealth Management Ltd. The B for Richard Brown, and the E for Josh Evans.

During this process, Josh was supporting another Practice - Anderson Financial Management - with some maternity cover and advisory support. This led to conversations about combining the strengths of the two businesses and allowing the principal - Tony Anderson - to move back into focusing his energies on a full-time advisory role, rather than splitting his time between this and managing and also running a successful business. The culture of both businesses, the teams and the advisers align brilliantly, and we saw how we could combine our strengths to build a bigger, stronger and better business, that is focused on brilliant client outcomes, and support when needed.

B E Wealth Management took over Anderson Financial Management in the Summer of 2026. All of the support staff and advisers stayed, and B E Wealth Management took on their offices in the heart of Clifton Village, Bristol. Having a larger team meant we could start to build the correct structures and systems to best support our clients to achieve their goals, and allow our team to develop and thrive. We have now expanded the team further adding four more team members during the summer of 2026.

Our goal in the years to come is to continue to provide professional, trusted and consistent advice, whilst growing the business sustainably and most importantly, maintaining the 'family business' feel. Our clients are the most important part of the business, and we have to demonstrate this at every turn and interaction.

Knowing our clients, and them knowing our team, is one of the factors that drives value, ensuring and focusing on the human touch in a world rapidly moving towards chatbots and technology. There is a time and a place for this technology, but entrusting us with your and your family's finances, in our view, should provide the support, compassion, knowledge and experience, peace of mind and the level of contact one should expect. Not just another line on a spreadsheet.

As a Partner Practice of St. James's Place, we believe this provides us with the best infrastructure, investment specialists, compliance, product offering, and client protection in the market. We also believe that none of SJP's competitors come close, and having this support us in the background means that we can focus our attention solely on our clients, and matching their goals and dreams with a financial plan to achieve this.
